Shamed Roseanne Barr says she did not profit from her axing over racial slurs.
Barr spoke to Stand Up NY's Rabbi Shmuley Boteach podcast claiming that she did the right thing after the cancellation.
She said: "I asked for nothing and that is penance."
The 65-year-old was earning $250,000 an episode but got nothing when it was taken off the air.
She told the podcast that she had put 'a lot of thought' into her departure and that it was fair she received nothing.
Barr said she thought her leaving the show without a payout was 'penance' for remarks that she made about Valerie Jarrett back in May.

Barr said on Twitter that Jarrett looked like 'Muslim brotherhood and planet of the apes had a baby'.
RadarOnline.com revealed how their will now be a spin-off show (provisionally called The Conners) without Roseanne on board.
