Demi Lovato Talks 'New Life,' Sings 'Sober' For First Time Since Relapse Reveal
Demi Lovato took the stage at Rock in Rio Lisboa this Sunday, June 24, to sing her touching new single, "Sober," following her shocking relapse reveal.
Sitting on an on-stage piano in front of an adoring crowd the singer belted out her emotional song, later thanking fans and loved ones for standing by her during her downfall.
"Tonight I took the stage, a new person with a new life. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. It will never be forgotten," Lovato, 25, tweeted along with a heart-wrenching video of her performance.
As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, the brunette beauty—who's struggled with cocaine and alcohol addiction—suffered a relapse about two months ago. A source close to the star claimed her team tried to get her help, but she consistently refused, and even began cancelling concert date due to her habit.
Soon, the former face, voice and co-owner of CAST Recovery Centers in West Hollywood, was scrubbed from the company's website, and shunned for her disease.
Lovato "feels betrayed," a source told RadarOnline.com. Despite her struggles, however, the star promised fans and loved ones she would seek help.
"I'm sorry to myself," she sings in her heartbreaking new single.
