Father knows best!
Paul Teutul Sr.’s bad blood with his son turned into a lucrative deal with American Chopper getting picked up for more episodes but RadarOnline.com exclusively learned that he is threatening to torpedo the show already.
Paul Sr.’s battle with Paul Teutul Jr. tore the family apart, and the future of the show set in the family bike shop was in jeopardy.
“The drama worked, and Paul Jr. and his dad are going to be back filming through the end of the year and possibly into next year,” an insider revealed to RadarOnline.com about American Choppers continuing on the Discovery Channel show.
And Paul Sr. was embroiled in a nasty legal fight after filing bankruptcy papers, claiming he only has assets of $1,801,729 and liabilities of $1,070,893.44.
“Paul Sr. needs the money. And he hates his son. But he’s going to keep filming the show or else he isn’t going to be able to pay for anything,” a family source told RadarOnline.com.
“Paul Sr. is threatening not to film with his son. He’s forced to film with him due to financial reasons. The TV show is a lie, he despises his son.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Paul Jr.’s dad called the shots and was intimidated by his son’s talent.
“Paul Sr. has a real f**king big ego, he doesn’t want his son to shine more than him,” family insider explained to RadarOnline.com.
But the show will go on!
“Paul Jr. is willing to do anything for his dad,” the source told RadarOnline.com.
In his 2017 book, The Build, Paul Jr. revealed that he and his father had a long history of fighting.
“I think we have tried more at certain times than others to get along well, but our relationship has always been one of adversity,” he penned. “When I reflect back over my life, I cannot say that my father and I have ever had a good relationship.”
Paul Jr. wrote: “I think my father became somewhat of a monster because of the show; he took on the persona of “Senior” after we became big. I once ran across a list of ten descriptions of a parent. If a check mark could be written next to three of the them, then the parent could be considered narcissistic. I checked all ten for my father.”
