They’re married! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in London on Saturday, May 19.
Prince Harry, 33, couldn’t contain himself when he saw Markle, 36, walk down the aisle. “You look amazing,” he said. “I love you. I am so lucky."
The couple exchanged vows in front of 600 family and friends.
“Harry, will you take Meghan to be your wife?” the Archbishop asked. “Will you love her, comfort her, honor and protect her, and, forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?”
He answered, “I will.”
The Archbishop then asked Markle, “Meghan, will you take Harry to be your husband? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and protect him, and, forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?”
She responded, “I will.”
The couple then exchanged rings.
“Meghan, I give you this ring as a sign of our marriage,” he said while slipping a ring on the fourth finger of her left hand. “With my body I honor you, all that I am I give to you, and all that I have I share with you, within the love of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”
She then responded, “Harry, I give you this ring as a sign of our marriage. With my body I honor you, all that I am I give to you, and all that I have I share with you, within the love of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”
The Archbishop then announced, “I therefore proclaim that they are husband and wife!”
Markle wore a simple Givenchy wedding dress designed by Clare Waight Keller for the big day, as Prince Harry looked smart in a military uniform.
They started dating in January 2016 and got engaged in November 2017.
“She didn’t even let me finish,” he said during their engagement interview. “She said, ‘Can I say yes? Can I say yes?’” And then were was hugs and I had the ring … I was like, ‘Can I, can I give you the ring?’ She goes, ‘Oh yes the ring.’”
