Going to the chapel! Markle, 36, rode with her mother Doria Ragland to the royal wedding. Ragland wore an Oscar de la Renta custom dress and day coat.
The crowds were speechless when Markle stepped out of the car!
The former Suits star is wearing a simple Givenchy wedding dress with a long lace veil.
“Markle chose to work with her for her timeless and elegant aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanor,” a press release on the dress read. “The dress epitomizes a timeless minimal elegance referencing the codes of the iconic House of Givenchy and showcasing the expert craftsmanship of its world-renowned Parisian couture atelier founded in 1952.”
Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy also designed the gorgeous veil. “The veil is five meters long and made from silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers in silk threads and organza. Each flower was worked flat, in three dimensions to create a unique and delicate design,” the release explained. “The workers spent hundreds of hours meticulously sewing and washing their hands every thirty minutes to keep the tulle and threads pristine."
The Queen leant her new granddaughter-in-law Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, which was made in 1932 with the centre brooch dating from 1893. Her earrings and bracelet are Cartier.
Prince Harry handpicked flowers from their private garden at Kensington Palace for the bouquet. The Forget-Me-Nots were the late Princess Diana’s favorite flowers.
Markle walked down the aisle solo before meeting her new father-in-law Prince Charles halfway. As readers know, Meghan’s father Thomas Markle was unable to attend because of health issues.
Perfect couple! Prince Harry and his love couldn’t keep their eyes off each other at the altar.
