Pete Davidson Slams Trolls Who Say He Can’t Date Ariana Grande Because Of His BPD
Pete Davidson is not staying quiet! On May 24, the comedian slammed social media trolls who said he shouldn’t be dating Ariana Grande because of his mental illness.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Davidson recently revealed he suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder.
On Thursday evening, Davidson, 24, took to Instagram story to share a fiery message to his haters.
“Normally I wouldn’t comment on something like this cause like f**k you. But I been hearing a lot of “people with bpd can’t be in relationships” talk. I just wanna let you know that’s not true,” Davidson wrote. “Just because someone has a mental illness does not mean they can’t be happy and in a relationship.”
“It also doesn’t mean that person makes the relationship toxic. Everybody is different and there are a lot of treatments for mental illnesses and I have done/am doing all of them. And I encourage those who struggle to seek help as well it has changed my life for the better,” he continued.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Davidson is rumored to be dating “No Tears Left To Cry” singer Ariana Grande, 24. Their shocking romance comes just days after Grande broke up with Mac Miller, and less than a week after Davidson announced his split from Cazzie David.
“I just think it’s f***ed up to stigmatize people as crazy and say that they are unable to do stuff that anyone can do. It’s not their fault and it’s the wrong way for people to look at things,” Davidson continued in his statement.
“I may be crazy but at least I’m aware of it and not afraid to be honest about it and I’m not hiding behind a twitter or Instagram account,” he added. “I’m simply writing this because I want everyone out there who has an illness to know that it’s not true and that anyone who says that is ill and full of s**t.”
Ever since news broke of their romance, the singer and comedian have been receiving backlash — especially since they seemed to have already gotten matching tattoos!
While the two have not addressed their relationship publicly, they also have not denied it, and have gone to extreme lengths to clap back at haters questioning their life choices.
“Mental illness is not a joke it’s a real thing. There’s kids out there killing themselves. And it’s f***ing horrific. For all those struggling I want you to know that I love you and I understand you and it is going to be okay. That’s all. Love to everyone,” concluded the funnyman.
RadarOnline.com readers know Grande also slammed a social media hater earlier this week, when he essentially blamed her for Miller’s DUI and heartbreak.
“I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be. I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man’s inability to keep is s**t together is a very major problem.” Grande wrote at the time.
