Catfish has been temporarily suspended days after host and executive producer, Nev Schulman, has been accused of sexual misconduct, RadarOnline.com has learned.

In the MTV show — which began airing in 2012 — Schulman, 33, investigates individuals on dating sites and apps in an attempt to disclose their true identities.

“We take these allegations very seriously,” an MTV spokesperson said in a statement following the sexual misconduct accusations. “We’re working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation.”

On YouTube recently, former Catfish star Ayissha Morgan made sexual harassment accusations about a man named "Jack," which fans believed could be a fake name for Schulman.

In a statement, Schulman has denied any wrongdoing.

"The behavior described in this video did not happen and I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth," he said. "I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions — but these claims are false."

As RadarOnline.com readers know, this is not the first time Schulman has been bashed for his bad behavior. When he was a student at Sarah Lawrence College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., the now-producer got arrested and eventually expelled after he punched a young gay woman repeatedly in the head.

Bizarrely, he admitted to the incident and even defended his actions, saying he believed the “short, stocky, crew-cut-styled” individual he beat up was a man.

In his 2014 memoir, In Real Life: Love, Lives & Identity in the Digital Age, Schulman also admitted he often stole clothes and drugs, crashed expensive cars and once “took a dump in the cereal dispenser,” inside his school cafeteria as a teen.

“I wanted attention. A sense of value. I wanted to be needed,” he explained at the time, adding that he now tries to be “kind and respectful and humble and pleasant” with everyone he meets.

Nev Schulman has yet to speak of his recent sex scandal.
