President George HW Bush In ICU With Blood Infection

Just days after Barbara Bush passed away , former President George H.W. Bush was hospitalized in the ICU.

“President Bush was admitted to the Houston Methodist Hospital yesterday morning after contracting an infection that spread to his blood,” his spokesperson announced on Monday, April 23, 2018.

“He is responding to treatments and appears to be recovering,” the statement continued about the 93-year-old.

The former First Lady’s funeral was held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 and attended by President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama and Melania Trump.

The 41st President  was in a wheelchair during the funeral service and was pushed out of the ceremony by his son, George W. Bush, the 43rd president.

He and Barbara had been married for 73 years.

He attended the viewing while his wife laid in state at the church in Houston and shook hands with the hundreds of mourners who came to pay their respect to Barbara.
