Lawyer Serves Stormy Daniels With Cease & Desist Letter After Donald Trump Interview

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Stormy Daniels spoke out about her alleged affair with Donald Trump in a tell-all interview with Anderson Cooper this Sunday. Hours later, Michael Cohen's lawyer served her with a "cease and desist" letter, ordering her to retract the "defamatory" claim that she was threatened by the President's longtime attorney!

In the letter obtained by reporters, Brent Blakely — who represents Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen — dismissed suggestions that Cohen was responsible for threatening the porn star after her alleged sexual relationship with Trump, 71.

Though Daniels, 39, has suggested Trump's legal team paid her to keep quiet and later gave her various ultimatums when she decided to speak out, Blakely called her statements "false and defamatory." He also advised Daniels and her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, to "make clear that you have no facts or evidence whatsoever to support your allegations that my client had anything whatsoever to do with this alleged thug."

The "thug" Blakely referred to in the letter was the burly mystery man who Daniels claimed approached her in a Las Vegas parking lot to threaten her and her daughter's lives in 2011.

"A guy walked up on me and said to me, 'Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,'' Daniels said in her interview. "And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, 'That´s a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom.' And then he was gone.'"

During their appearance on 60 Minutes, Avenatti told Cooper that the level of alleged intimidation his client was receiving from Trump's legal team had "no place in American democracy."

"You threaten someone with a $20 million lawsuit, it's a thuggish tactic. It's no different than what happened in the parking lot in Las Vegas," he said.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Stormy Daniels claimed she had an affair with Donald Trump in 2006, after Melania had just welcomed their only son, Barron. Playboy model Karen McDougal also claimed she had an affair with the billionaire around the same time.

Trump has denied the intimate relationships, though his lawyer, Michael Cohen, previously admitted that he paid porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about her allegations.
