A woman on board a Carnival Cruise Line ship reportedly died after she fell from her cabin's balcony.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the unidentified woman died early Friday morning on the Carnival Elation.
The ship was traveling on a four-day trip from Jacksonville, Florida, to the Bahamas.
Carnival spokesman Vance Gulliksen confirmed that the woman fell onto a deck "several" stories below.
A woman on board allegedly texted her mother about the horrifying incident, "There was blood everywhere," the Miami Herald noted.
Spokesperson Guilliksen said in a statement to the Herald, "The ship's medical team responded immediately, but, unfortunately, she passed away. The incident was reported to all proper authorities and CARE Team support was offered to fellow travelers and her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the deceased and her family."
Carnival has recently had three death-by-falling incidents, including that of an eight-year-old little girl.
Plus, in a bizarre "laughing husband" case, Kristy Manzanares was allegedly the victim of a murder on an Emerald Princess cruise ship; her husband Kenneth was arrested for her bloody murder.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the FBI cuffed Kenneth for the killing, a crime he allegedly committed on the Emerald cruise ship because Kristy "wouldn't stop laughing at him."
There have been a rash of rapes, murder, and freak accidents on cruise ships and the latest incident is being investigated.
