Amanda Knox's Ex-Beau Can't Find A 'Good Girl' To Date After Murder Scandal

Amanda Knox's ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, who was embroiled in notorious murder charges with her in which both were ultimately acquitted, now says he can't find a nice girl to date!

Sollecito confided to Britain's Sunday People that women "are scared of me."

The Italian former beau of American Knox says he is unable to find a "good girl" for a romantic relationship after he was put through a legal wringer.

Knox, a Seattle college girl studying in Perugia, and her then-beau Sollecito were accused and then--at first—were found guilty of murdering her roommate, British exchange student Meredith Kercher, in Italy.

The sensational crime happened in 2007 and Knox and Sollecito spent almost four years in Italian prisons before they were both acquitted at a second level trial.

In 2015, the Italian Supreme Court found both Knox and Sollecito innocent of the crime and they were released.

Sollecito said the brutal stabbing of British student Kercher, 21, ten years ago has impacted his love life.

Now, 33, he told The Sunday People, "He said: "I spent the last 10 years in a tragedy. I was in jail for four years – six months in solitary and three and a half years in a maximum security prison. And today I do not feel completely free, I feel cooped up in a kind of house arrest.

"Society still has a negative impression of me. I'm imprisoned by a society that will not let me lead a normal life."

Sollecito revealed, "At times I met girls who were charmed by my 'black halo.'

"But good girls are appalled and scared of me. When I dated girls and they had to tell their families about me, there was always some family member that would get worried because they did not trust me.

"I wish I could start my life over, living like everybody else," he moaned.

"I have to explain and justify myself with everybody.

"I am innocent and I have been acquitted, but there's people out there who still doubt me."

In a case that still fascinates the public, Kercher's throat had been slashed and she had been stabbed 47 times in the grisly murder.

Rudy Guede, who had befriended Amanda and her roommates, was found guilty in 2008 of her murder and jailed for 30 years, which was later cut to 16 years.

Sollecito currently works in the IT industry in Parma, Italy.

He has no contact with Knox, who has written a book about her ordeal appeared on a Netflix documentary.

Sollecito has gotten into hot water by joking about the famous murder case in secret online groups.

But he told the British publication for the new article, "I only had a relationship with Amanda for five days. I feel sorry that a girl in her twenties got murdered. It's absurd and inconceivable. But I've never even seen her body."
