Michael Nyqvist Dead — Killed By Lung Cancer At 56

Michael Nyqvist died on Tuesday after a horrifying battle with lung cancer, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The actor, who starred in the Swedish version of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, was just 56 when he passed, according to reports.
"Michael's joy and passion were infectious to those who knew and loved him," his rep said in a statement to the Daily News.
"His charm and charisma were undeniable, and his love for the arts was felt by all who had the pleasure of working with him."
The Swedish star was best known for his role as Mikael Blomkvist in Millennium film trilogy, featuring The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest.
That same trilogy was later adapted into the 2011 American movie, starring Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig, in Nyqvist's role.
Nyqvist was also admired for his roles in Abduction and Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol as well as John Wick, when he co-starred alongside Keanu Reeves.
The late star is survived by longtime wife Catharina Nyqvist and children Ellen and Arthur.
