When teen Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson competed for the mirror ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars, her family was thrilled. Well, the entire family minus one member.

In his memoir Young And Beardless, John Luke Robertson, 21, admits he dreamed of being asked on the hit ABC dancing competition show.

"I wanted to do it first," he huffs in the book.

While his 19-year-old sister competed, John Luke secretly took dance lessons in hopes producers would ask him to make a cameo onscreen!

"I had this thought at the back of my mind: 'They might end up asking me to be on the show sometime…'" the reality star confesses.

He even seems to diss his fashion designer sister's moves.

"It's not like you try out for Dancing With the Stars. They contact you. The show's representatives talked to Sadie (not me) for three months before it began airing."

Two years later, John Luke is still praying that show producers change their mind and ask him to join next season's cast.

Sadie ended up being a star during the 2014 season, finishing in second place to Alfonso Ribeiro and impressing Christian fans with her admission she's remaining a virgin until marriage.
