After days of silence from Brad Pitt's camp, the actor's friends are ready to start a smear campaign against Angelina Jolie.
During Andy Cohen's SiriusXM radio show on Monday, singer and good friend to Pitt, Melissa Etheridge, took a stab at roasting his soon-to-be ex-wife, calling claims of child abuse "completely unfounded."
"It breaks my heart that anyone would take something as personal as your marriage and your relationship and your rights to your children and do it as purposefully as I see it's being done," Etheridge, who sang at Pitt's wedding to Jennifer Aniston, told Cohen.
"I've gone through family courts. I've been twice around this block, and I know it really well, and I know when there's some forethought to just how mean and just how you're going to put disinformation out there first."
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Jolie filed for divorce earlier this month, citing irreconcilable differences. The 41-year-old, who stated that the couple separated September 15, is seeking full physical custody of the couple's six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox.
"I really hope that he reaches back out," Etheridge continued, blaming Jolie for creating a wedge between Pitt and his former pals.
"There are a lot of us who haven't seen him in 10 years," she said pointedly of Brad's love life timeline with Angie. "We all lost a friend."
Then, the "Come To My Window" hit-maker dug the knife in even further.
"I was around when Angelina was not doing nice things with Billy Bob to Laura Dern. I went through that on a personal level, and then to know the side of Jennifer and Brad. . ." she said, trailing off. "I helped Laura move out of her house with Billy Bob — I like broke into their home to get their stuff out because it was so nasty."
Despite friends coming to bat on his behalf, Pitt has remained cordial towards Jolie in the public light thus far.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the couple came to a tentative custody agreement last week that requires therapy session, drug tests, and Jolie's temporary full physical custody of the couple's six kids.
