There's a lot more drama raging behind the scenes of The Real Housewives of New York City than what viewers have gotten to see onscreen! RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that former best buds Bethenny Frankel and Andy Cohen are currently "engaged in a nasty war of words."
"Bethenny and Andy had a significant falling out after the reunion," an insider told Radar. "She has always been his favorite so it's a shock."
It turns out Frankel, 45, was livid after 48-year-old Cohen dared ask her "a couple questions at the reunion about other's drug use," said the insider, noting, "Bethenny really didn't want to get involved in that drama and they made her."
Frankel was also "pissed" about questions regarding her banker boyfriend, Dennis Shields, and her divorce from Jason Hoppy, continued the insider. "Andy purposely brought that up and other things that made her look bad."
The bad blood between Frankel and Cohen came to a head when the two met at a big post-production meeting after the reunion.
"She was upset at him — and she demanded a producing credit for talking about Luann's cheating fiancé on camera," revealed the insider.
"Andy explained neither he nor the network ever agreed to that and she got angry and threatened to leave the show unless she was paid $2 million to film, which the network is refusing to cough up."
And according to another insider, they will do it if they know what's good for fans! "You obviously don't know Bethenny nor have you watched the show if you think Bethenny shies away from drama," said the insider. "She is the drama. Check the ratings for yourself."
