Baby Bombshell! Inside Angelina's Plans To Adopt After Split With Brad

Brad and Angelina were battling over adopting a baby in the years leading up to their painful split — and RadarOnline.com can reveal that the actress now is determined to go it alone as the two gear up for a nasty divorce and custody case.

"This was a huge issue between them and it affected their marriage in a negative way for almost three years," a source close to the couple said, revealing the two had fought over whether or not they could handle giving a home to a Syrian child.

"Brad was focusing on his career, taking on select projects and making his home life more stable, whereas Angie was and is still hell-bent on pushing herself to the limit in every area."

The 41-year-old actress, said the source, "wants to continue to travel the world, adopt more kids and somehow still make movies in-between all her other jobs."

"Slowing down isn't in her vocabulary, but Brad's desperate to get a handle on his and their children's life right now," noted the source.

"It's not so much about his worries for her anymore; he gave up holding her hand the minute she filed for divorce," added the source of Pitt, 52. "They were leading separate lives and had been for so long."

As RadarOnline.com reported, Jolie moved out of the family's L.A. compound after she filed for divorce from the actor amid reports he was drunk and got in a tiff on a private jet with their son Maddox.
