Josh Waring, son of Real Housewives of Orange County star Lauri Peterson, was arrested for attempted murder on Monday — the same night as the show's new season premiere. As the cast struggles to cope with the horrifying incident, Vicki Gunvalson shared the latest from the cast with RadarOnline.com.

"I reached out to Lauri this morning when I heard the news, and let her know I am here for her if she needs anything," Gunvalson told RadarOnline.com Tuesday.

"As a mother myself, I can't imagine how difficult this is for her," the Bravo star said.

While the events leading up to the shooting of Daniel Lopez are still unclear, neighbors told RadarOnline.com that the incident shook up their quiet Costa Mesa neighborhood.

"At about 1:30 am my husband was still awake and heard people out in the street screaming and cussing," a woman who lives across the street from the sober living facility The Way Home said of the incident. "He came back in and just said he wasn't going to deal with this."

Lopez, 30, was shot in the lower torso in front of the facility. While his injuries are serious, he is expected to recover.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Waring was chased and arrested by police in Santa Ana after the shooting, and is now facing attempted murder, vehicle theft, felony evading police, hit-and-run and assault and battery charges.

He is being held on $1 million bail.

Story developing.
