The show formerly known as Live! With Kelly And Michael, may finally have a new host in mind!
According to an insider, former race car driver Jeff Gordon is on the short list to become Kelly Ripa's co-host following Michael Strahan's controversial exit, TVLine reports.
As RadarOnline.com readers recall, Strahan made waves this spring when he announced that he was leaving for a full-time hosting gig at Good Morning America. Since then, Ripa has been embroiled with a bitter feud with her former cohost as she is left to carry the show.

44-year-old Gordon is certainly no stranger to the show. He has served as Ripa's co-host nine times, and has enjoyed a career in broadcasting since retiring from racing.
Still, executives remain tight-lipped about where Gordon stands, and plan to continue featuring a variety of guest hosts until formally announcing Strahan's replacement this summer. "Lots of rumors out there, but we don't comment on co-host speculation," a rep for Live said.
