Dolly Parton & Carl Dean Renew Their Vows On Golden Wedding Anniversary

Dolly Parton said "I do" to Carl Dean — again! The pair, who originally tied the knot on May 30, 1966, celebrated 50 years of marriage with a vow renewal ceremony this week, RadarOnline.com has learned.
An ultra-private event, the romantic service included their minister and his wife. During an interview last year, goddaughter Miley Cyrus let it slip that the vow renewals would likely take place at Parton's Willow Lake Plantation home in Brentwood, Tennessee.
The 70-year-old met her hubby the first day she moved to Nashville to become a star. According to her website, the couple's first encounter took place outside of the Wishy Washy Laundromat in Music City.
Though getting married was one of the last things on Parton's mind at the time, the country music legend said she couldn't resist a handsome man like Dean.
"I was surprised and delighted that while he talked to me, he looked at my face (a rare thing for me)," she said of their meeting. "He seemed to be genuinely interested in finding out who I was and what I was about."
Leading up to the big anniversary, Parton gushed about their plans.
"I'll have a beautiful wedding dress, 'cause I didn't have a big, long wedding dress when we got married and we've got a suit for him, so we're going to dress up and take a bunch of pictures," Parton told PEOPLE magazine of the ceremony.
Dolly's wedding dress and Carl's suit will be on display at the Dollywood museum beginning July 1.
