Nick Gordon has asked Bobby Brown for his permission to attend Bobbi Kristina Brown's funeral, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Gordon told the grieving father in an email, according to online reports, "I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye."

He also included the organizer of the event, Pat Houston, for her to consent to his presence at the event, which is slated for Saturday.

"I'm begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance," he wrote. "Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, authorities in Georgia are investigating Gordon for what role he might have played in the events leading to Bobbi Kristina being found in a bathtub face-down Jan. 31, setting her on a spiral she would never recover from.

Even without Gordon's groveling, the funeral is already a source of tension among relatives, with internal family clashes over a "Sweet 16" theme Pat Houston has in mind for the somber event.

A "visibly upset" Bobby Brown famously walked out of the 2012 funeral for Bobbi Kristina's mother Whitney Houston, amid unrest with members of the late singer's family.
