"It was a no brainer for Teresa to decide to do the show, because she obviously needs the money to pay off mounting debts," a source tells Radar of the reality star, who was infamously sentenced along with boozy husband Joe last month after pleading guilty to fraud charges. "The producers were thrilled, because it will result in a ratings bonanza."
Radar can also report that Giudice is also insisting that her four precocious daughters— blossoming pop star Gia, 13, and younger girls Gabriella, 9, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5— be paid for their time on camera.
"Teresa is using the girls as leverage to get more money," a source tells Radar. "She knows viewers will want to see how they are coping with the fallout from their parents' legal problems."
However, the source adds, Giudice and producers have yet to come to an agreement on the girls' paychecks.
As Radar exclusively reported, the star will also be featured on a holiday special to say goodbye to fans before she begins her sentence.
