New BFFs! ‘Teen Mom’ Star Amber Portwood Goes On Road Trip With ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Kailyn Lowry

Since the stars of Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 film from their respective hometowns, many of the cast members hardly, if ever, interact with the other women.

But Teen Mom’s Amber Portwood and Teen Mom 2’s Kailyn Lowry became fast friends last week when they hit the road to promote their respective memoirs.

“Loved getting to know @AmberLPortwood on our book tour! Can’t wait to finish your book!” Lowry, the author of Pride Over Pity, tweeted on September 22 about her new pal Portwood, who released her juicy read Never Too Late in August.

The mother of Isaac, 4, and Lincoln, 10 months, and the mom to Leah, 5, traveled to various bookstores around the southern United States, making stops in Atlanta on September 13 and Nashville on September 15.

“She’s really awesome, this is the first time we’ve really hung out,” Portwood, 23, said of Lowry during a joint interview on Bobby Bones’ radio show.

Since the working moms live in different states, it’s unlikely they’ll schedule a play date soon. But expect to see many more tweets between the new pals.
