Tacky Bridezilla! WWHL’s Andy Cohen Rips RHOA’s Kandi Burruss For Not Sending Handwritten Thank-You Notes For Her Wedding Gifts

While NeNe Leakes gave her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Kandi Burruss an extravagant set of Hermes plates as a wedding gift, Burruss sent Leakes — and all of her other wedding guests — a form letter-style thank-you note.
That’s what viewers learned on Sunday night’s Watch What Happens Live when host Andy Cohen called out the RHOA star for not writing personal thank-you notes for her fancy gifts after her blowout Coming to America themed wedding to Todd Tucker.
On his talk show, which aired after the Kandi’s Wedding finale episode, Cohen asked Burruss if she wrote thank-you notes and she admitted, “I didn’t do handwritten ones. I did little cards printed up.”
As the audience laughed and Cohen gave her a despairing look and admonished, “Sweetie,” Burruss said, “I know.”
She explained her guest list was too large for her to write personal cards: “It was like, hundreds of people!”
Cohen replied, “That’s right, who bought you gifts. You have to sit down and pour a little Chablis and just crank ‘em out.”
Burruss, 38, sighed, “That’s a lot.”
“I know. And that’s a lot of gifts you got,” Bravo’s Mr. Manners laughed.
Burruss said she’d already sent out the pre-printed cards and asked, “Should I send another?”
“I don’t know,” Cohen said, but then added, “Too late now.”
When Cohen had earlier asked Burruss who of the Atlanta housewives had given her the best gift, she said Leakes.
“NeNe gave me an awesome gift, a full set of Hermes plates for my dining room,” Burruss said with husband Tucker by her side. “Our dining room has red accents. The plates were like cream and red design on it.”
Also on the WWHL episode, which comically displayed Tucker’s mom Sharon and Burruss’ Mama Joyce as cardboard cutouts at the bar, the reality couple discussed the big wedding, which happened April 4 and aired Sunday night on Bravo.
Burruss admitted she wore a corset for her form-fitting ostrich feathered wedding gown – and was late to her own ceremony.
“The dresses weren’t done,” she shrugged. “It made it super late.”
The singer also seemed to have second thoughts about featuring lions in cages as part of the wedding — after getting an earful from animal lovers.
“People have given me hate tweets about the lion,” she said. “I’m sorry for the people that I offended.”
Meanwhile, Tucker said he had no regrets about signing the prenup that almost wrecked the wedding.
Still, Tucker admitted, “Getting married is not just love. I learned that it’s also business as well. It rubbed me a little wrong. It’s tough, but … it’s a business transaction.”
Burruss said of her disapproving Mama Joyce, who reluctantly gave her away at the wedding, “I hated the fact that she didn’t smile. She messed up a lot of the pictures.”
However, Tucker said his relationship with Mama Joyce has improved: “We’re taking it day by day … it’s been cool.”
During the wedding, Mama Joyce gave Burruss and Tucker a brief toast, and the pleased TV producer told Cohen, “It was big that she even got up there and did it. It was respectful.”

But he said his mom Sharon and Mama Joyce haven’t spoken since the wedding.
“She’s really mad,” Tucker said, referencing Mama Joyce infamously calling his mother a prostitute.
Tucker told viewers that his daughter Kaela, 18, whom he had in his 20s out of wedlock and was in the wedding party, is “very much a part of” his life and will live with the newlywed couple (along with Kandi’s daughter, Riley, 11).
In a game with Cohen, Burruss and Tucker also gave viewers a TMI moment by revealing their favorite sexual positions!
At the end of the show, Cohen got up and gave the happy couple a toast, letting fans know Bravo had to talk Tucker, once a producer on the show, into going on camera as Burruss’ boyfriend on RHOA in the first place.
“I have to thank you guys,” Burruss told Housewives producer Cohen. “You guys have given me my husband.”
A happy Tucker then gave cardboard Mama Joyce a kiss!
