Does what happens in Cannes stay in Cannes? Antonio Banderas was photographed hitting the town with a mystery woman during the French film festival, leading many to speculate that he and wife Melanie Griffith had pulled the plug on their 17-year marriage. But now, Griffith's sister is speaking out exclusively to RadarOnline.com, insisting that their marriage is fine.
Griffith, 56, and Banderas, 53, have been married since 1995. But lately, they have been plagued by rumors that their love has run its course.
The last time the couple were spotted in public together was on March 16. More recently, photos of Banderas dancing with sexy actress Natalie Burn at the Gotha Night Club in Cannes, France raised a red flag about their relationship status.
However, Griffith’s half-sister, Tracy Griffith, spoke to RadarOnline.com on Tuesday and when asked if her sister and Banderas were splitting up emphatically said, “No.”
Tracy, who shares father Peter Griffith with Melanie, told RadarOnline.com that she speaks with her sister “all the time,” and that the couple were definitely still together.
Actress Griffith seemed intent on sending that message on Tuesday, when she was spotted in Beverly Hills flaunting a simple gold band on her ring finger and her giant diamond rock on her middle finger.
In addition, they're still linked by professional ties: She just wrapped filming with Banderas on a sci-fi thriller titled Automata and he will be directing her in another movie titled Akil.
