Whether spinning tunes for Victoria Beckham’s birthday party, celebrating Passover with Nicole Richie, or just chumming around with Rashida Jones, it's clear Samantha Ronson has moved on from Lindsay Lohan — even though the celeb DJ's troubled ex can’t stop talking about her! Lohan, 27, recently called Ronson “toxic,” but RadarOnline.com has learned that in reality, the 34-year-old Ronson is anything but.
"Sam has made positive changes in her life,” a pal tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “I've never seen her this happy, focused and healthy.”
Ronson, who recently quit smoking, began by trimming the fat.
"She slowly but surely got rid of all the things and people that were toxic for her," the friend adds.
It looks like OWN reality star Lohan— who recently relapsed on drugs and alcohol at the Coachella music festival and copped to dating a married man— was on that list.
Now Ronson is concentrating on her top-notch career, with deejay residencies at Chicago’s Underground nightclub and mur.mur in Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
“She is über-professional and takes her gigs very seriously,” an insider tells RadarOnline.com. “You can tell she’s passionate about her work.”
Ronson, who was last linked to actress Erin Foster in 2012, recently revealed that she was suffering from panic attacks during her turbulent three-year relationship with Lohan.
“I lost so much weight and had so much anxiety,” she admitted.
Ronson’s mother, Ann Dexter-Jones, and twin sister, Charlotte, famously sought a restraining order from Lohan in 2009.
“I was seriously anxious about Samantha’s safety and wellbeing. I feared tragedy,” Dexter-Jones told the Daily Mail of her daughter’s time with the “psychotic” Lohan. “It got to a point that I wasn’t sleeping very well.”
