This week, we take a look at a precocious Lindsay Lohan — long before the smoker’s voice, Adderall and “The List” — in 1997, as she spoke with ET about her nascent breakout hit, The Parent Trap, and her (since-lost?) passion and dedication to the craft of acting.

“It’s fun and I like the attention!” the then-11-year-old said of show business.

In it, she praised said she admired both her co-stars in the film, Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson, as well as stars such as Goldie Hawn, Michelle Pfeiffer and another celebrity who’s no stranger to scandal, John Travolta.
