Brad Pitt turns 50 Dec. 18, and Angelina Jolie is shelling out for quite the birthday gift -- Petra, an 11-acre heart-shaped island 50 miles to the north of New York City that the A-listers will be able to call their very own.

“As soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing -- she was really impressed," a source told the UK Mirror. “The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat. It’s very private.

"And Angelina knows the fact the island is in the shape of a heart will mean so much to him.”

The spectacular island includes two gorgeous homes designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright; and a helicopter pad for its' jet-setting residents.
