Katie Holmes might be more than a year removed from her split with Tom Cruise, but she's still casting a watchful eye over her shoulder for the Church of Scientology, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The 34-year-old's security detail approached a group of photographers near the Cleveland set of her upcoming film Miss Meadows on Monday, the shutterbugs told MailOnline.com, and asked them if they were affiliated with the controversial institution. (They were not, but rather photographers on scene to get shots of the star.)
A photographer on the scene said Holmes' guard said he and the rest of her security team were told to "Keep our eyes open for anything suspicious and to report it," according to the report.
"When security knew we were only trying to take pictures it definitely seemed to make a difference to how she and daughter Suri were moving around," one told the outlet. "Katie was previously being ushered straight into a vehicle and we hardly saw her, but now she seems less anxious."
Miss Meadows, a Karen Leigh Hopkins-directed comedy, has been described by producers as a cross between Pulp Fiction and Mary Poppins.
