Does Brandi Glanville try to manipulate any and everything LeAnn Rimes-related to keep their feud -- and the attention she receives as a result -- alive and kicking?
Yes, according to one insider, who said the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spitfire "needs to talk about LeAnn on Twitter to keep herself relevant," pointing to a recent incident in which LeAnn's fans were wearing anti-Brandi shirts -- and how Brandi reacted to the situation -- to assume the role of the victim.
As we previously reported, two male Rimes fans wore giant pink hats -- and t-shirts that read “F*** BRANDI” -- in a picture on Twitter Aug. 9, and to LeAnn's concert in Littleton, Colo. Aug. 11. This caught the eye of the country singer, who acknowledged them on Twitter, and shouted them out at the show.
On Twitter, the blowback was fast and furious, as some believed LeAnn was passively encouraging the profane insult toward her husband Eddie Cibrian's ex.
Brandi, in response, wrote that while she and Leann were not feuding, the incident could cause a trickle-down effect in regards to travel arrangements for her sons with Cibrian, Mason and Jake, as she did not want them on LeAnn's tour bus.
I "just don't want MY boys traveling on a I hate ur REAL mom bus," Brandi tweeted.
One source told us was NOT the way things went down, as "LeAnn … never saw the damn shirts," explaining that the How Do I Live singer "glanced at their pink hats and said, 'Awesome!'
"People are trying to make a big deal of it when it is not -- she cannot dictate what her fans do or wear.”
The insider called Brandi "jealous," "bitter" and "just mean," adding that "LeAnn never said she hated Brandi … but that is how Brandi is now spinning it. She plays the professional victim card. It's a desperate bid to keep their feud alive and stay in the spotlight."
