Pierce Brosnan's Joy & Heartbreak: Daughter Charlotte Wed Shortly Before Tragic Death At 41

Only two weeks prior to her passing, Pierce Brosnan's daughter Charlotte and her artist boyfriend Alex Smith got married in a hush-hush ceremony, RadarOnline.com has learned.
"It was the most moving day of my life," a family friend told the UK Sun of the June 14 nuptials. "It wasn't a day to be sad. Alex and Pierce were smiling broadly."
The actor's Malibu, Calif. church, Our Lady of Malibu Church, is planning a memorial mass for Charlotte, who fought ovarian cancer for three years. (Her mother Cassandra Harris was only 43 when she died from the same disease, after a four-year battle, in Dec. 1991.)
"We are very sad to hear about Mr. Brosnan’s daughter passing and he is in all our thoughts and prayers," the church's Sister Mary Prendergast told Mail Online. Mr. Brosnan has attended the church for some years and his children have attended our school.
"Today we will put Charlotte’s name in the prayer book, and when he returns to America, we will be here to offer him support and be able to plan a mass in Charlotte’s honor, should he desire us to do so."
Charlotte is survived by Smith, daughter Isabella, 14, and son Lucas, 8.
