Tom Cruise has entered a contract to sell off his 2,200-square-foot apartment in New York's East Village -- which he's owned nearly three decades -- for $3 million, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The A Few Good Men star initially moved into the two-bedroom condo in the American Felt Building at the time it was first built in 1984, when he'd broken through in Hollywood with the sex comedy Risky Business, The Real Deal reported.

Cruise, a source told the website, is hoping to avoid the paparazzi by relocating to an abode with a garage.
The 50-year-old Vanilla Sky star, who also owns lavish property in Manhattan and Beverly Hills, is scouting swanky East Coast locales such as Westchester, New York or Connecticut for a replacement.
The apartment outlasted many of the Jack Reacher star's storied relationships, as he shared the place with ex-wives Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes, as well as former girlfriend Rebecca De Mornay.
