Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez broke up after two years of dating after the A Year Without Rain singer discovered that the teen heartthrob had cheated on her early on in their romance with none other than sexy Rihanna, according to a bombshell new report.

“It has devastated her,” a friend of Selena and Justin’s tells the new issue of Life & Style.

The friend tells the mag that the Baby singer, now 18, hooked up with the Barbados-born beauty, 24, after they flirted with each other at a basketball game in Los Angeles on February 20, 2011.

“It really cut like a knife because it happened in February of 2011, when Selena and Justin had been dating for months and were falling in love. It’s caused Selena to question their entire relationship,” the insider added.

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, Bieber and Gomez began dating in late 2010, but have been off-and-on for the past few months, and the insider indicated their romance is likely over for good.

“Selena thinks maybe they’ve been hooking up all along,” their friend tells the mag.
