Even though Britney Spears won't be asked back to be a judge on Simon Cowell's The X Factor, the pop princess' management team is exploring potential television sitcom roles for her, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
"Britney's manager, Larry Rudolph, is reading television scripts that the singer could accept. Britney's dad, Jamie feels that having his daughter on a sitcom would be a good fit for her. Britney needs to be kept busy, and a structured environment such as a television sitcom would be a natural fit for her," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.comexclusively.
"She actually has very natural comedic talents and is very funny, in an airhead sort of way," the source added.
As RadarOnline.com was first to report, Spears won't be asked to return as judge on the next season of The X Factor.
"Britney, who was signed on a one-year deal, is the first person who will be expected to have her salary chopped. She is on a $15 million contract, which is absurd given that there's been no huge surge in the ratings.
"It just doesn't make sense to spend all that money on Britney when Simon Cowell will undoubtedly be able to find another high-profile judge to replace her at a fraction of the cost."
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Toxic singer’s relationship with fiancé, Jason Trawick, 41, remains tenuous. "Britney and Jason aren't sleeping in the same bedroom and haven't been for some time. It's extremely complicated because he is one of her conservators. It's only a matter of time until they break-up," the insider said.
A close source tells RadarOnline.com that Britney has said she and Jason have been fighting because he wants to have kids, and she doesn't!
"Britney said Jason wants to be a father, and while he's happily taken on the role of stepdad to both Jayden and Preston, he still wants Britney to have his kids," the insider says.
