Jill Zarin has opened up about being fired from The Real Housewives of New York City, telling Watch What Happens Live host, Andy Cohen, that it felt like "a death," and RadarOnline.com has a video clip.

Zarin, was fired from the hit show more than a year ago, along with Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop, but it is obviously still fresh in the mind of the 48-year-old.

"It felt like a death…..It felt like my funeral. I was heartbroken and I felt like Bravo was my parents and that when it was 'Bethenny vs. Jill,' you picked favorites," Zarin confessed to Cohen who is the Executive Vice President of Development at Bravo.

"I even felt my dog Ginger got it bad."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the three cast members were let go in September 2011 after the fourth season of filming finished.

In January of this year, a source told RadarOnline.com Zarin had been invited back to the show, but that she had declined to re-join.

“I thought about quitting the show during season 4, because my husband wanted his wife back,” Jill told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. “I had such anxiety and pressure to act a certain way and I was paranoid for a reason, because people were planning and plotting against me.
