A close friend of Sylvester Stallone's son, Sage, says that the 36-year-old was "healthy and upbeat" when he met up with him just two weeks ago, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Sage, was found dead from a suspected drugs overdose at his Studio City home Friday morning.
"I saw him two weeks ago and he seemed great," the friend tells RadarOnline.com. "He was healthy and upbeat and didn't seem depressed at all.
"I never knew him to do drugs, not even weed, so for him to die from an overdose is kind of shocking to me.
"I am totally stunned."
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Sage's father was also shocked by the news of his son's sudden death.
"This came completely out of the blue," a source close to the actor told RadarOnline.com. "Sylvester did not see this coming for one minute.
"Sage was healthy, and Sylvester thought he was doing really well, this came from complete left field.
"Sylvester was very close to Sage and he is absolutely overwhelmed with grief by his death. He is totally stunned and still in a state of shock."
Sage, full name, Sage Moonblood Stallone, was 36 years old.
He was Sylvester's son from his first marriage to Sasha Czack.
An actor, director and producer, Sage appeared in the fifth installment of Sly's biggest film franchise, Rocky, where he played the title character's on-screen son, Robert Balboa.
