Katie Holmes Bails On First Red Carpet Walk Since Split With Tom Cruise

Katie Holmes isn't ready to walk the red carpet -- just yet.
Tom Cruise's ex canceled a previously scheduled appearance for the Dizzy Feet Foundation Saturday event at Los Angeles's Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, which would have marked her first walk down the red carpet since filing for divorce from Hollywood’s most famous Scientologist.
The Dizzy Feet Foundation is a non-profit dance group that includes celebrity boosters such as Katie, ace TV producer Nigel Lythgoe, So You Think You Can Dance judge Adam Shankman and Dancing with the Stars beauty Carrie Ann Inaba.
The event Suri's mom is missing out on will feature dance sets from Glee's Harry Shum Jr. and Chord Overstreet, and cast members from the film, Step Up Revolution.
Following their split last month, the Rock of Ages star, 50, granted the Broadway-bound beauty, 33, sole custody of Suri, 6. They said in a joint statement that they're "committed to working together as parents to accomplishing what is in our daughter Suri's best interests."
