Jason Trawick is a bigger part of Britney Spears' life on The X Factor than anyone knew...until now.

Brit's fiancé sits just off the end of the judges table, barely out of camera range, RadarOnline.com has learned. And on Friday, when Spears decided to leave the set, it was Trawick who raced over and quietly conferred with her.

They spoke intimately for a few seconds, and then Brit got up. Accompanied by her ever-present bodyguard, she left the panel and walked through the audience to the rest rooms.

It all went down during the Kansas City, Missouri auditions, which were missing head judge Simon Cowell.

Citing "illness," Cowell sat out the auditions. His friend and The X Factor UK judge Louis Walsh sat in for him.

As RadarOnline.com has reported, Trawick is not only engaged to Spears, the former agent is now co-conservator along with Britney's father and an attorney, over her personal affairs.

There is no word on when the two will wed.
