Ellen’s Advice To Bethenny Frankel: ‘Be Yourself On Your Talk Show’

Reality star Bethenny Frankel is about to dive headfirst into the ultra-competitive world of TV talk, and on next Tuesday's Ellen, the mega-successful Ellen DeGeneres gives the breakout reality star a few helpful pointers as she launches into her ambitious new endeavor.

"My advice to you is to be yourself -- not be what you think a talk show host should be or what you’ve seen a talk show host be," Ellen told Bethenny, "because the way that you’re going to be successful is by being someone that they haven’t seen before … you don’t want to try and copy a format."

"I agree with that," Bethenny told Ellen, who added it's necessary to actually have fun in the process "because the audience can sense when you’re having fun.

"The audience can sense if you’re being authentic so you just be yourself: You know you are very outspoken, which is why I think you’re going to be great for television because you say things and you have strong opinions and I think people will relate to that or disagree but it will be a discussion … I think you’re going to be great, you're going to be fantastic."

Bethenny -- who Ellen dubbed a "media mogul" -- said she "wants to talk to the women about how to get there," in terms of success and independence.

While things are soaring for Bethenny on the career front, her marriage seems to be in crisis mode, as Star recently broke the exclusive that she and husband Jason Hoppy have both met with divorce lawyers recently, with an insider telling the magazine, “They are going to get a divorce … it’s imminent.”
