American Idol alums Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo got engaged on Wednesday's finale show, and RadarOnline.com has all the details for you.
Diana, the third season runner-up, and Ace, who performed on the show's fifth season, sat in the audience until host Ryan Seacrest called them onto the stage, dimmed the lights and gave center stage to Ace, who dropped to one knee.
The show has always been home to us, Ace said, adding he found the venue perfect "to ask a simple question."
Ace, 31, then popped the question to Diana, 24, marking the first time in 11 years someone's used the stage for such a purpose.
He told her: "We have conquered Broadway together … we have created new music together … we have an amazing group of people around us … and with the help of David Webb jewelry, I have a way to make this fun last forever.
"Diana Nicole DeGarmo … will you … marry me?" Ace asked, to which she said, "Yes! Wow babe, you picked a good one!"
"Anything can happen," Ryan crowed, "because of Idol."
The musically-gifted pair became serious while working together on Broadway.
