After a seven week deployment, Prince William has returned to Britain to reunite with his wife the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
William, 29, returned with his Royal Air Force Search and Rescue helicopter crew on Wednesday morning and Kate was there to greet him at the airbase.
"The Duke of Cambridge returned to the U.K. this morning following completion of a routine operational deployment in the Falkland Islands as part of a four man Search and Rescue crew," an official statement read.
"He will now have a brief period of leave before resuming Search and Rescue duties from RAF Valley shortly."
Kate is expected to lay low with Prince William over the next few days while he is on leave until he has to report back to the RAF in North Wales.
