And we’re down to the top ten on American Idol, as Shannon Magrane is no longer in the running.
Magrane, 16, was eliminated from the hit Fox show Thursday night after her last chance rendition of Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's hit 90s ballad One Sweet Day failed to resonate with the judges, who could have used their one save on her if they saw fit.
“Unfortunately, we’re not gonna use it tonight Shannon,” judge Randy Jackson glumly told the teen.
"It feels so good standing on this stage," the wiry Tampa, Florida native said after she was let go. Had she lasted one more round, Magrane would have qualified to join the show’s annual summer tour, which features the top ten acts lighting up the stage at arenas throughout the country.
