Katy Perry Pulls Out Of People's Choice Awards Amid Divorce

Katy Perry's first public appearance since hubby Russell Brand filed for divorce was supposed to be the People's Choice Awards this week, but RadarOnline.com has learned the Fireworks singer is no longer attending.
"Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards," Katy tweeted to her fans on Monday.
"I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed!"
After spending the holidays apart — Katy was in Kauai and Russell was in England — both were spotted without their wedding rings on.
Russell, 36, filed for divorce from Katy, 27, on December 30, 2011 citing "irreconcilable differences."
Katy is nominated for six People's Choice Awards, including Favorite Tour Headliner and Favorite Pop Artist.
The People's Choice Awards air Wednesday night on CBS.
