Madonna will headline the halftime show of the upcoming Super Bowl at Indianapolis, Indiana’s Lucas Oil Stadium on February 5, the NFL and NBC  announced Sunday night.

The Grammy Award-winning Vogue singer will work with a Cirque du Soleil squad, choreographer Jamie King and Moment Factory for what is sure to be a historical performance in the making.

Last year’s game included performances from The Black Eyed Peas, Slash and Usher.

The film W.E. — which Madonna directed, wrote and produced — hits theaters February 3.

Fun fact: The 53-year-old Material Girl has past dated jocks including hoops enigma Dennis Rodman, and baseball sluggers Alex Rodriguez and Jose Canseco.
