What a difference a year makes!
Demi Lovato made a triumphant return on Sunday to the rehab facility where she was treated a year ago.
She spent three months at the Timberline Knolls facility in a bid to resolve her eating disorder and emotional issues.
The 19-year-old is in great health now and is back at the top of her game. But she wanted to give back to the center that helped her and stopped in to speak to some of the women who are currently receiving care there.
“Wow what an inspiring day,” the former Disney star tweeted after the visit. “Many tears were shed and many memories were brought back.”
“Today I went back to the treatment center I went to last year, to speak to the beautiful women fighting their inner demons. Was so honored. To be able to share my story and let them know that it gets easier. Life is beautiful… You are worthy of it.”
Demi concluded her series of postings asking her fans to “say a prayer for all of those struggling with eating disorders, self harm, mood disorders, and substance abuse.”

The actress and singer recently told Glamour magazine that the lasting effect of her self-harming, from when she was 11-years-old, is a reminder of how far she’s come.
“I think scars are like battle wounds – beautiful, in a way,” she shared. “They show what you’ve been through and how strong you are for coming out of it.”
