First Lady Michelle Obama & Jill Biden Booed At NASCAR Event

First lady Michelle Obama and the vice president's wife Jill Biden were booed appearing at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Finale at the Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday.
Just prior to their announcement of "Gentlemen start your engines," the South Florida crowd hailed the political wives with a chorus of jeers.
Both served as grand marshals for the event as part of their Joining Forces initiative, which aims to help and honor military troops and families.

The first lady said that one of her goals with Biden is to ensure helping military families and veterans remains a focal point of the American people, regardless of who is in office. At a pre-race reception, the first lady said that NASCAR has been "amazing in terms of its support, not just today but everyday, for military families."
