Some girls have it all!
A blockbuster movie? Check. A singing career with a chart topper? Check. A boyfriend who is cute, smart, successful and an international star? Check.
Selena Gomez is a brunette darling on top of her game with her boyfriend Justin Bieber by her side, but the Disney star who is all grown up admits that she still has insecurities like everyone else.
“You have this pressure to fit in and you want people to like you,” she says in the September issue of Glamour magazine.
She said that she handles the pressure with her trademark sunny outlook. “I try my best to be a good person and be the best I can be.”
Rocking the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards Sunday night, she was spotted getting a smooch from her heartthrob boyfriend at one point.
“I’m 19, so I feel like everything that I’m doing right now should not be taken too seriously,” she said about her relationship with the Biebs. “I should be able to have fun and enjoy where I’m at! So I don’t want to spend my time hiding or worrying about all of that.”
Selena’s show Wizards of Waverly Place is ending and she’s making hit films like Monte Carlo with Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, but she said it wasn’t always an easy road.

“When I was 11 years old, I had a grown woman who was a casting director tell me I was not strong enough to carry the lead in any project. Now I’m doing things that I love, and I’m working really hard. I never want to play the victim or anything, but of course everybody deals with it.”
Glamour’s September issue hits newsstands nationwide tomorrow, August 9th.
