Russell Armstrong’s body was left in such a dire condition following his violent death by hanging that there will not be an open casket at his funeral RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
“He was hanging for so long that his neck was almost detached from his body,” his step brother Wade Jackson told RadarOnline.com about the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.
“His body is all swollen, bruised and bloated and so the family is not going to be able to have an open casket at the funeral.”
Jackson said that there has been talk of cremating Russell’s body, which was discovered on Monday at the home where he’s been staying since separating from his wife Taylor Armstrong.
Tragically, Russell left behind three young children, daughter Kennedy with wife Taylor and two sons, Aiden, with his ex-wife Barbara and Griffin, with ex-fiancé Milette.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced for Armstrong yet, but Jackson said his family is, not surprisingly, devastated over their loss.
“Russell was a great guy, he helped out lots of family members when they needed money and he was always working really hard for everything he had.”
