Jane Seymour said on The View Friday she's "so beyond sorry and appalled" for her recent comments on the tumultuous breakup between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.
While promoting her film Love, Wedding, Marriage earlier this month, Seymour told CNN that Schwarzenegger "was obviously jumping the gun before everyone else told the world the news. And from what I gather there will be lots of information coming people's way.
“I heard about two more children. I met someone who knows him well."
But on Friday, Seymour was singing a different song, asking for forgiveness for fanning the flames of the scandal.
“Anything I said was stupidly based on stuff I heard in the media," the veteran actress, looking stunning in a red dress, told the panel of The View. "I feel so badly for Maria and the children.”

Seymour said she's been through similar woes herself, and felt compelled to talk about the issue since it mirrored the plot of the film she was promoting.
