With a new movie coming out, Brad Pitt has given one of his increasingly-rare interviews and what the actor really wanted to talk about was his family.
"Kids hold up a mirror to you. You can't make excuses," he told USA Weekend. "You've got to make sure their teeth are brushed and they've eaten a good breakfast."
Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie have six kids, ages two to nine, including Shiloh who turned five on Friday.
It's not easy traveling the globe with a brood this size, but Pitt said he and Angelina have it down to a science. Each child has his or her own backpack, and everything they need for the trip has to go into that.
"On the road, we're a military unit," Pitt explained. "Mom does the packing. She's quite gifted at it."
Pitt insists there are "no secrets" in his house. "We tell the kids, 'Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.' They go, 'Eww, gross!' But we demand it."

The actor, whose new film is Tree of Life, also addressed the will-they-or-won't-they marry question. His first marriage, to Jennifer Aniston, famously ended in 2005.
"The kids ask about marriage," he said. "It means more and more to them. So it's something we've got to look at."
