Former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi has nothing, but good things, to say about her replacement Jennifer Lopez.

We caught up with DioGuardi on Thursday in Los Angeles and she praised the new line-up, including Steven Tyler, telling RadarOnline.com: "They have good chemistry."

"They're a good mix and it's coming from their heart," she added.

DioGuradi, who RadarOnline.com spoke with at GBK's Gift Lounge Honoring Presenters and Nominees of the 2011 Kids' Choice Awards, said she often catches "bits and pieces" of the show.

One moment she liked was when Tyler praised contestant Lauren Alaina for her performance of Elton John's haunting song Candle in the Wind.

"I think Steven Tyler said something like, 'You did so well, now you can get the other half of the dress that's missing," DioGuardi said.

But, when we asked DioGuardi what she thought about the upcoming talent show The X-Factor and it's creator Simon Cowell, she stayed mum, only saying: "I think Simon's doing just fine!"
